Wyndham Pittsburgh University Center
100 Lytton Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Wyndham Pittsburgh University Center under the name “Weinberger Divack Beder.” Click here for the link to our room block. (The page at the link defaults to check-in on Friday, 6/16 and check-out on Monday 6/19, but the dates can be changed at the top of the page.) The last day to reserve a room with the group block rate is May 19, 2017. The Wyndham is in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, and is walking distance to the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, the Carnegie Museum of Art, and many shops and restaurants on S. Craig Street. The hotel is a long walk–over 1.5 miles–from Temple Sinai. We will provide a shuttle bus on the day of the wedding to take guests between the Wyndham and Temple Sinai.
Courtyard Marriott West Homestead/Waterfront
401 West Waterfront Drive, West Homestead PA 15120
We have also reserved a block of rooms at the Courtyard Marriott in West Homestead. This hotel is located at The Waterfront, a giant retail development located on land once occupied by a steel mill. It is steps away from a beautiful walking, jogging, and biking path along the river. The hotel features an indoor pool, free and easy parking, and is 3.5 miles from Temple Sinai. To reserve a room, call 1-800-MARRIOTT and mention the Beder/Weinberger-Divack Wedding Group. The last day to reserve a room with the group block is May 16, 2017. We will provide transportation for guests on the day of the wedding between the Marriott and Temple Sinai.
Although there are no hotels that are a short walk to the Temple, there are many Airbnb options that are worth looking into.
Flying to Pittsburgh
The Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is the main airport for the region, and is about 30 minutes (by car) west of Temple Sinai. In addition to the typical transportation options for any airport (taxi, car rental, ride-sharing, and Super Shuttle), there is a public bus, the 28X, that goes from the airport to the city.
Parking at Temple Sinai
Temple Sinai does not have a parking lot, unfortunately, but there is free street parking in the blocks surrounding the building.
Pittsburgh’s weather is notoriously unpredictable, so check the forecast before packing. The ceremony and reception will be indoors.
